Support for Specialists of the “Coordination Center for Supporting Victims and Witnesses of War and Other International Crimes”
The goal of the project is to facilitate the effective and meaningful participation of victims and witnesses of war crimes in criminal proceedings, protect them from secondary and repeated victimization, enhance their awareness of their rights, and improve their access to justice, support services, and guidance.

The “Capacity Building for Specialists of the Coordination Center for Supporting Victims and Witnesses of War and Other International Crimes” project focuses on increasing the professional knowledge and skills of the center’s specialists, providing appropriate psychological support, and developing standard operating procedures. The project is being implemented in close collaboration with the Coordination Center for Supporting Victims and Witnesses of War and Other International Crimes of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
As part of the project, four three-day training sessions were conducted, along with a two-day simulation exercise in Kyiv at the Training Center for Prosecutors of Ukraine.
The project also includes capacity building through mentoring support and psychological group supervision. This aims to provide effective support and guidance for specialists who work daily with victims and witnesses, improving their self-efficacy and ability to manage the emotional challenges of their work in a sustainable way.
The “Capacity Building for Specialists of the Coordination Center for Supporting Victims and Witnesses of War and Other International Crimes” project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation “Posmishka UA” with the support of the Law Enforcement Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
