Together in Safety and Warmth
Charitable Foundation “Posmishka UA”, with the financial support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF), is implementing the project “Together in Safety and Warmth: Multimodal Winterization Support for Conflict-Affected Communities.”
The goal of this project is to assist vulnerable populations in preparing for the winter season by providing essential heating supplies or financial compensation for purchasing heating materials or covering utility expenses.
Within the framework of the project, beneficiaries in three regions of Ukraine (Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kharkiv) receive the following types of assistance:
- Distribution of solid fuel (briquettes) in-kind — for residents of the Petro-Mykhailivska and Mykhailivska communities of the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Cash assistance for purchasing solid fuel — for residents of Zaporizhzhia city (Zaporizhzhia region), Apostolivska and Hrushivska communities (Dnipropetrovsk region), and Kolomatska community (Kharkiv region);
- Cash assistance to compensate for heating supply payments — for residents of Kharkiv city (Kharkiv region), Apostolivska and Hrushivska communities (Dnipropetrovsk region).
These communities were selected with the support of the Shelter and Non-Food Items (SNFI) Cluster.
It is important to note that receiving humanitarian aid in the form of cash assistance requires having the status of an internally displaced person (IDP) or belonging to one of the following categories:
- Participants of combat operations;
- First-degree relatives (father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter) of combatants;
- First-degree relatives (father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter) of fallen or missing servicemen and servicewomen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who participated in the defense and deterrence of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, in accordance with paragraph 165.1.54 of the Tax Code of Ukraine.
Humanitarian aid is provided free of charge by the Charitable Foundation “Posmishka UA” with funding from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
