Counteracting GBV and CRSV
Counteracting gender-based violence (GBV) and conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV). The “Posmishka UA” Foundation provides services aimed at preventing, counteracting, and responding to incidents of violence against civilians, including those identified in crisis situations and armed conflicts. Additionally, it implements programs to promote gender equality and protect the rights of girls and women in crisis situations.
The Foundation works in the areas of prevention and counteraction, as well as supporting victims of GBV and CRSV, by building a comprehensive system of services in collaboration with government bodies, law enforcement agencies, civil society, and international organizations.
We implement mobile social-psychological support brigades, which include a psychologist, social worker, and driver, who can respond to emergency calls in coordination with the police and social services. Additionally, we provide comprehensive social support services for victims to ensure physical, psychological, and legal safety, helping to break the cycle of violence and support individuals in rebuilding their lives.
We assist CRSV survivors through the Rescue Assistance Center. At the Center, confidential social and psychological support is available to those affected by the conflict and various forms of violence during the war, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the local population. The Center is staffed by social workers, psychologists, including a child psychologist, a case manager, and a lawyer.
We work to prevent and address GBV incidents and raise awareness about the importance of gender equality and the equal distribution of rights and responsibilities within the family by engaging with men, women, and families with children. We create safe spaces where, through a “peer-to-peer” approach in a secure circle, individuals can receive support, consult with a psychologist, and access information on available psychosocial support services.
